About Michael Worobel, DO

Michael Worobel, DO is an interventional Pain Management Physician at the Carolinas Center for the Advanced Management of Pain. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship Trained in Pain Medicine.

Dr. Worobel completed his undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, where he also played collegiate baseball. From there he attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He then completed his internship in general Surgery at UNTHSC/Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth Texas followed by his PM&R residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. From there he moved on to complete a Pain Medicine fellowship at Mid Atlantic Spine and Pain Physicians in Newark, DE. Dr. Worobel was then in private practice in Florida for several years prior to moving back to the Carolinas.

Dr. Worobel treats patients with a wide variety of chronic pain conditions using minimally invasive approaches such as injections, spinal cord stimulation and other techniques specified to the individual patients needs. His goal is to use these techniques along with establishing a proper diagnosis to improve functioning while trying to reduce the necessity for medications.

Dr. Worobel treats patients in the Gastonia, Asheville, Spartanburg, Columbia and Greenville offices.
